Moving

we offer a variety of services for the University, including:

  • Relocation of office furniture, lab equipment, machinery, fine arts, and other items within the University community
  • Delivery services for pallets of paper or brochures, etc.
  • Furniture assembly
  • Refuse dumping
  • Rental drop off
  • Surplus & Ewaste pick up

Scheduling

To schedule a move, please fill out the moving request form with the move details, including:

  • Contact Person
  • Phone Number
  • Email
  • Quantity and description of items to be moved
  • Requested move date and time
  • Location of pieces to be moved, including building name and room number.
  • Destination location, including building name and room number.
  • FOAPAL to be charged

Please allow as much lead time as possible in advance of your move so that we may avoid scheduling conflicts. Move requests are scheduled on a “first-come, first-served” basis; however, we try to accommodate “short notice” moves when requested.

Estimates

At your request, staff from Receiving Services will arrange with your department for advance assessment of the move and provide a rough estimate of the costs.
